Student Housing Near the University of Waterloo and Laurier
Northdale, the student neighbourhood between the two universities and King Street North, turns over most of its tenants every September. Lots there see heavy wear from short-stay residents, so we restripe them in August with numbered stalls for assigned parking.
Many Northdale lots are small, 10 to 30 stalls behind a walk-up. Each one sits near our $450 minimum, so landlords with several buildings usually book them for the same morning.
Tech Offices in the David Johnston Research + Technology Park
The R+T Park sits on the University of Waterloo's North Campus, with about 150 companies and more than 4,000 workers across 120 acres. Its lots need EV stalls, visitor rows and painted walkways from the Research and Technology ION station.
We paint there after 6:00pm, once staff have left, and phase large lots so the evening shift still has parking.
Industrial Sites Along Northfield Drive
The Northfield Drive corridor near the Conestoga Parkway mixes warehouses, trades and light manufacturing. Typical scope is truck court lines, dock hatching and forklift lanes inside, painted on a weekend or planned shutdown.
The City's 98 acre Generation Park industrial lands in north Waterloo will add new paved yards over the next few years, and new asphalt needs about 30 days to cure before final striping.
Uptown and Conestoga Area Retail
Uptown plazas along King Street and the big lots near Conestoga Mall on King Street North stay busy into the night, so we restripe them overnight in phased sections. Arrows and stop bars at the entrances wear out first.
Waterloo has removed minimum parking counts near its ION stations, but every stall a property still builds must meet the Table 6B sizes. Infill lots in Uptown often need a careful re-layout to keep their count at 2.8 m widths.
